Welcome to the WGHS AP Program. The purpose of the AP Program is to offer rigorous, college-level classes in a variety of subjects that provide high school students an opportunity to gain the skills and experience college recognizes. Students even have the possibility of receiving college credit depending on his/her exam score.

The following AP courses are offered at WGHS:

AP Honor Cords (Started 2019-2020)

Student must have taken the AP tests for at least 4 College Board AP courses.
Student must have received high school credit for at least 4 College Board AP courses.

WGHS Recognized as 2025 AP Honor School by GaDOE

By taking an AP Course at Walnut Grove High School, you are committing to the following:

AP courses require a great level of time commitment.
Summer work is often a requirement.
Students experiencing difficulty in AP courses must seek additional assistance from their AP teacher.
Students are expected to take the AP exam in May.

Students are recommended by teachers for AP courses during the course request process; however, all students will be required to fill out any and all applications.

Enrollment is limited, based on course requirements, and a first come first serve basis.

Get Your AP Scores

Make sure to provide the same information on your account as you did on your AP answer sheet. If you already have an account from taking previous AP or SAT exams, try signing in to confirm.

Remember the following information to access your scores:
- Your College Board account username and password.
  - Forgot your password?
- Your AP number (or student ID if provided on your AP answer sheet).
  - Learn where to find your AP number.

Sending AP Scores

After you take an AP Exam, we send your score report to the college or university that you designated on your answer sheet. Your score report is cumulative and includes scores for all the AP Exams you have ever taken, unless you requested that one or more scores be withheld from a college or canceled. When you go online you will be able to see your entire score report and score–send history. If you wish to send additional score reports to colleges, universities and scholarship programs you can do so online for a fee. Learn more about sending your scores to colleges and universities.

What does your AP Score mean?

Your AP score shows how well you did on the AP Exam. It's also a measure of your achievement in your college-level AP course. This score will be used by colleges and universities to determine if they will grant you credit for what you've already learned, or allow you to skip the equivalent course once you get to college (this is known as advanced placement).

Your score is a weighted combination of your scores on the multiple-choice section and on the free-response section. The final score is reported on a 5-point scale as follows:

5 = extremely well qualified

4 = well qualified

3 = qualified

2 = possibly qualified

1 = no recommendation

"Qualified" means that you have proven yourself capable of doing the work of an introductory-level course in a particular subject at college. Many colleges and universities grant credit and placement for scores of 3, 4 or 5; however, each college decides which scores it will accept. In order to be considered for credit or placement, you must send your official AP score report to the college you're planning to attend.
